MetaTrader 4

DEGIRO is not compatible with MetaTrader 4 (MT4) platform. This is because MT4 is used in Forex and CFDs trading. Since DEGIRO does not deal in both of these instruments, the traders are not able to trade in markets like stocks, bonds, ETFs, and others. But its in-house trading platform offers functionalities similar to MT4.

How are foreign currency transactions handled at DEGIRO?

When opening an account on the UK platform, for example,  your account will denominated in GBP and linked to a GBP bank account. At DEGIRO foreign currency transactions can be handled in two ways; using the AutoFX trader or holding foreign funds manually.

Anyone from the following countries with bank account in your name can join DEGIRO:
