VTMarkets Trading Platforms
VT Markets is a MetaTrader-only broker offering the popular MetaTrader 4 (MT4) suite developed by MetaQuotes Software Corporation. Beyond the desktop and web version of MT4, VT Markets does now offer MetaTrader 5 (MT5).
Offering the full suite of MetaTrader platforms is a crucial distinction of the best MetaTrader brokers, in addition to providing platform add-ons to enhance the default platform experience. That said, for customers who deposit at least $1000, VT Markets does offer several plugins for MT4 as part of its Pro Trading Tools suite from Trading Central (a common third-party provider).
As a MetaTrader-only broker, VT Markets provides the MT4 and MT5 mobile app, available for Android and Apple iOS devices.
VT Markets’s web platform has some good things to offer: Clear fee report. Good customizability (for charts, workspace). Order confirmation. However, some things may not be suitable for beginners. Areas of improvement: No two-step (safer) login. No price alerts.
Payment Options and Fees
Minimum deposit requirement $200.
There are various fee-free funding methods available including via debit/credit card, bank wire, Skrill, Neteller, Fasapay, Cryptocurrency and more. Furthermore, users registered with the CIMA entity can benefit from the 50% welcome bonus and the 20% deposit bonus.
Commissions: the Standard STP account is commission-free but comes with higher spreads relative to the Raw ECN account.
Customer Support and Educational Material
VT Markets provides a small selection of research content in the form of its Daily Market Analysis series, which contains barely one article update per day, alongside third-party content available from Trading Central.
VT Markets has a dedicated section on its website for education. Yet, the only content I found there is the Daily Market Analysis series from its research section. Overall, VT Markets offers practically no educational materials, which severely weighs down on its ranking in this category.
